Hello,

My friend has shipped to me Niche Zero from US, so it is the 120V 60Hz version.

Will it perform on par with the European version which is 230V 50Hz after I fit a transformer?

Yes absolutely, been running one like that for years as a long term us test model. It's in my videos and reviews, right hand corner with the transformer. Currently, I have the 100V japanese model connected to the transformer and have been over-volting by 15-20V it for 6 months or more (for any Japanese reading don't do that for any in country Japanese Niche...this was a long term test for the one you eventually got/get).

Grab a 500W step down from Amazon. You could use 300W but my experience is they are often optimistic about the load rating for these transformers. It will perform fully on par.

P.S. 50 or 60Hz is irrelevant to the grinder....just need to step down the voltage.

50Hz will slow down a little the motor, that's why I asked.

The US model has a different motor running on 60Hz and I can't find the official power specifications of both 240v and 120v motors.

Thanks for your response, I was gravitating towards 500W rated transformers as well!

No it won't 50Hz or 60Hz makes absolutely no difference. It's a DC motor and unaffected by frequency, unlike an AC motor.
