I purchased this machine brand new from Italy. It is in perfect working order.

I modded Silvia with new Rancilio thermostats ~4 years ago together with steam components (incl steam control knob and steam wand) - hence it looking like a V2. Original Portafilter and all original baskets.

Like all V1's this is built like a tank and is indestructible. It continues to make perfectly good espresso.

I bought a Profitec Move a few months ago as an upgrade beyond Silvia but decided to hang on to Silvia.

However, after some initial teething troubles with the Profitec, which I've now overcome, and alongside my ever patient wife's complaints about two espresso machines in the kitchen, it's time to let go.

In terms of use and care, I drink at the very most one espresso per day; I love coffee but the caffeine doesn't love me.

As a personality, I tend on the obsessive side so have fully embraced the espresso making ritual, puck prep and workflow. Consequently I've looked after Silvia with regular backflushing, screen disassembly and cleaning etc.

Having said all that, I haven't attended to keeping the chassis bone dry and Silvia has rusted in places, an acknowledged issue and concern with these machines.

I've taken lots of photos of various parts of the machine, including the rusted areas, for full transparency.

Contact me with any questions and for more photos and agree pickup or shipping.
