Hello, hoping for a little help!
Looking to upgrade, and I have my eye on the:

Profitec Pro 400
Quickmill Rubino
and maybe Lelit Mara x

I can't find too much info on either the Profitec or the Quickmill.
I'm finding myself very confused, so if anyone could give some insight, I would REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks so much

There was recently a similar post on the coffee snobs forum (not attaching a link as not sure of site posting rules about other forums) where people were deciding between the pro 400 and the mara x that might be worth a read. The post is just titled profitec pro 400 (so no points for guessing which machine they chose).

I've no experience with the machines mentioned so can't add anything further. Just thought it'd be worth pointing our that post for you.

Good luck with the research and the decision.

@ Coffeeaddict83 If you type in review -Profitec pro 400 on the I/n you will find information, repeat for Q/M Rubino.
Keep in mind, coffee machines like cars need servicing and sometime replacement parts and servicing under warranty if they go wrong. Better to buy from someone that has premises / facilities in the UK. Beware 'box shifters'

Probably not much help but I did notice that Bella Barista have the QM Rubino LUXE on 'Stock Reduction' for £1050 or so ish, which if money is a factor might help a lot.

The MaraX, Profi 400 and QM were in my shortlist and I couldn't decide between them, so I've done a 180 and ordered the Silvia Pro X. Hoping I've made the right decision but honestly, I don't think you can make a 'wrong' choice here.

What I would say though is that I have a gut feeling that the Profitec might be a bit better built than the Lelit, and now that Lelit is owned by Breville/Sage it's quite possible that the component quality might drop a little bit. They're still great machines from what I can gather (I haven't owned any of them, the Silvia will be my first prosumer machine).

So, I guess the question to ask yourself is how long you want to keep the machine running. If you're envisaging replacing it in 3-5 years then just get whichever one you like the look of/fits the budget the best. If you're planning to keep it running for a decade then maybe the Profi is the way forward... It's where I'd have headed if I hadn't decided I'd rather have a dual boiler.

Agree with @El carajillo too, I nearly bought from one of the European companies with a UK trading address, but having somewhere with a true UK location that you can send back for warranty repairs etc is definitely worthwhile.

Happy Hunting!
