What beans are you using

 

Today, some from Wogan, roasted about 8 days ago. Always fresh, sometimes decaf

 

Just curious, does Niche give a reason for suggesting not to spray? (My Zero is out for delivery today!).

 

Yes I think #5 is right about corrosion. They also talk about over time the burs seasoning and static reducing, which I have noticed, about 30kg later! Still I get some static, but I don't know where the point is that you can say the burs are seasoned

 

Probably concerns about corrosion on burr's.
Many people do spray beans to reduce static. Plastic cups / funnels could exacerbate static.
Monsooned Malabar is renowned for static. Changes in weather-- heat / humidity cause static.

 

Static reduces over time - I WDT into the Niche dosing cup just don’t get too anal about it - I’d never put water into my Niche

 

I don't RDT into niche. I grind into a blind shaker so that gets rid of the static clumps with a WDT when in portafilter which helps
