I have quite a lot of space on my cherub between my low drip tray and group with a bottemless or spouted pf so 3-4cm isn't to much of a deal for me

If you need it there's a file on thingyverse for a low profile 3d printed drip tray for a gaggia classic when I had mine it was extremely helpful. There's even a file for a small extension piece for the tube from the 3way solonide to reach down to the lower drip tray it needed a small amount of altering to make it a nice snug fit around the the pipe

Personally I wouldn't pay £70 for an unknown brand - I'd be sticking with a cheap £5 set of dealer (sorry- jewellery) scales. And a timer if you want one. (I generally count in my head as that's precise enough for me!)
And they're only 1g accurate. I have 0.1g accuracy across 1kg on my cheap ones.
