something I noticed is that pretty much all portafilter stands are aluminium as the don't damage the portafilter when they connect, and ally plate is easy to work with and shape ;-)joey24dirt said:Love the filter stand!!

Either - but having said this both will require a puff of the lens hood and a flick or two of a pastry brush to clean the exit chute - my preference would be for the hopper to have a weight of beans in it to provide consistency of pressure on the beans being ground, this assists with uniformity of particle size - the single dose grinding on EK's as I understand it is possible because of the spiral worm drive ? that pulls the beans towards the grinding surface - I may be wrong on this but think that's how they operate.joey24dirt said:What will be the routine for this mod then?
