So, given the the new house and the complexity of plumbing this bad boy, I’m thinking of moving on to a new machine.

this was bought, brand new, by me, in 2014 from Machina Espresso in Edinburgh. This is the full dual boiler version with the rotary pump. That means no internal tank. This requires plumbing but if you have space, can be run from an external tank.

its been regularly maintained, cleaned, disassembled and put back together. The following has been done by me in my ownership:

-PID replaced as some segments started disappearing from it. Brand new unit fitted and working perfectly.

-pressure adjuster on the pump head was sticking, so was replaced and well lubricated before fitting to ensure future reliability.

-IMS competition shower screen fitted

In the last few months following the house move I fitted a fresh shower screen, a new silicone group gasket, and lubricated the E61 moving parts.

machine works flawlessly and is in generally superb cosmetic condition given 8 years of daily use.

these have crept up in price these days and now sit at around £1800-2000. So I think my pricing is very reasonable given the care and maintenance done on this machine.
