Reducing this, I think generally people don’t want a lot of the accessories. So I’ll try the machine, with it’s original kit only (rather than what is detailed below) £2850 which is about £570 quid or so cheaper than brand new delivered. Put another way 17% off, loads more than than their reconditioned units (typically only 7% off, then shipping on top).

UK based sale only. Local pickup

After some consideration, I’ve decided to sell my Decent DE1 Pro. Offered on here first because I’ve learnt a lot from the many helpful contributors. Local pick up in the UK.
I have a 5 month old black model with a number of Decent and no other accessories as a package that I’ve tried to price to sell but fair to both parties. Date based pics can be provided to prove ownership.

In the interest of said fairness I’ll explain why I’m selling. It may surprise or shock you, but it’s mostly about taste in coffee, and a little about the Decent. Recently I had an issue with my machine. It seemed like a power cut had affected it and I contacted them, I was asked to do some electrical testing on a certain part. I was unwilling to do this and so Decent were happy to resolve it by a free return to base warranty claim. In order to investigate everything, I had tried updating the app, and then realised there was also a firmware update to be done. I think actually the power cut had confused the machine, and trying the software update first before the FW update had caused the issue. After the updates, the machine is now working correctly and I’ve used it to pull shots and steam as normal.

So why am I selling if I have a perfectly working machine again? Well, during the few days I was going through this, I’d reverted to the only other option I had to make coffee for my wife and I - an old stove top coffee maker (moka pot). Some of you may wince, but when we went back to the the Decent, we discovered that we were happy with the coffee it produced, and keeping the Decent wasn’t an effective use of our money. From the Decent side of things, I wasn’t entirely enamoured with the interactions I’d had, nor having the return to base warranty. Many are happy and used to this. It’s just not for us.

I’ve been in communication with Decent and they’ve confirmed the warranty is fully transferable to the new owner.

Edit** now just the machine. If that goes, I’ll make the other accessories available separately.

So I’ve attached pictures of what I’m selling. It’s the machine, ** not these(a whole load of Decent accessories including extra pf, pf holder, various sized baskets a blank, a drip basket, funnel, jug, 3 hole tip, thermometer, tamp stand. Along with it comes the Felicita bluetooth scale that gives you ‘stop on weight’ capability and has been rock solid. I’m also including a Force Tamper, Mota Comp Tamper, a CafeFabrique WDT tool, a Joe Frex group head steam cleaning brush and a knock box that I think works better than most, but is really difficult to find now as the company stopped making them)**

**not this- will come as original machine) You can see I’ve changed the smaller ‘grip’ handle to something that I prefer design wise, but obviously the original handle is included. I’ll also include an experimental handle I was trying to get to work (pictured) that I preferred to the wooden ones but never got around to completing (its an aluminium gear lever handle but there’s a gap I couldn’t fill, needs a washer/printer to complete)

All in all, when you add these up and include shipping at the original cost, total new for this kit was about £4130. Current cost including shipping (Decent shipping is now up by £150 as prices are rising) would be about £200 more. Includes travel case for Decent and box. And little rubber thingy for pf holder!

I’m offering for pick up in Banbury UK (just off M40 north of Oxford).

To be sold separately and priced in the future. Decent accessories 300, Scale 126, Force 162, Brush 39, Mota 35, WDT 23, Knock 10, Handle x2 40).

Any questions please let me know.
Thanks
Jonathan
