Hello everyone,
My friend and I were talking about which coffee grinder works best. I was so sure about my choice that I had to prove it!
He was all in on
Baratza Encore Coffee Grinder
https://www.amazon.com/Baratza-Encore-Conical-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B007F183LK?th=1

I was standing my ground with
Breville BCG820BSS Smart Grinder Pro
https://www.amazon.com/Breville-Smart-Grinder-Black-Stainless/dp/B00OXGXW8O?th=1

I spent hours researching across review sites like Wirecutter, CNET, Good Housekeeping, Consumer Reports, and The Spruce, as well as expert coffee blogs and forums. To my surprise… almost every site rated both products equally.
After that I decided to ask a few coffee experts for their opinion so I could finally find the best one. I realized that both of these grinders are great. The best choice really comes down to what matters most to me or you. For me it was about whether I wanted simplicity, grind precision, or advanced features that fit my brewing style.
Which one would you recommend for me? Any recommendation or personal experience would be fully appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

As Clodius says it depends if you are planning to make espresso or not.

The Breville SGP is 25% more expensive than the Encore as it is designed for espresso. For espresso you would want to compare the Breville SGP to the Encore ESP (they are same price).

I owned the SGP for a year and it could make decent shots albeit not always consistently.

It’s worth noting is the Breville have bought Baratza and I believe they now use the Baratza ESP burrs in their newer machines as they are supposed to be better. However they still use the older burrs in the SGP so on that basis alone I would tend towards the Encore ESP if you plan to make espresso.

Smart grinder pro is arguably better than a pestle and mortar and blown out if the universe by niche zero upwards.
Kinu m47 would be a better more consistent choice. Consistency is the definite weak point of the smart grinder poo. On the plus side...... It is cheap.
