You mean with an 18g dose, the shot takes 60-70seconds to pull?

What's your basket?
What's your output in the cup?
Do you hae 0.1g scales?

Thanks for your reply, I'm using a double portafilter basket, the grind takes 60-70 seconds to fill to the correct level. I took a video this morning:

The grind on the Touch Impress takes significantly longer than on machines with the older grinder designs. Yours seems to be even longer than "significantly", but it's hard to tell clearly from the video because you stop the grind several times.
What is the grind fineness setting - finer = longer time? Also, if the machine's refurbished, it's (slightly) possible that someone's adjusted the burrs to a finder setting, which would make the grind finer than the machine setting suggests.
In a while, I'll time the grind on my Touch Impress for a comparison.

OK - just checked - my Touch Impress takes 29 seconds to fill a double basked - grind setting 13, default burrs
