    I always felt that my SGP left a mild ' burnt' taste....whereas the Eureka has a much more balanced feel to espresso. Some of the note/characteristics of certain types of coffee, are less muddled, than the SGP.

    I plumped for a Specialita over a Facile/Manual as it has bigger burrs (55mm than 50mm)..and it is apparently quieter. Plus aesthetically, it looks much better with the dosing display....all for the additional outlay of £70 (or 5 bags of 1 kilo coffee!)

    A Eureka flat burr grinder would set you back around £279 for the Facile...or for £80 more, something like a Specialita. I had an Oracle for a few weeks- and to be honest didn't think the grinder was that bad, based on what i have now.

    I returned an Oracle to John Lewis after 3 weeks - as it was starting to play up, then bought a HX machine. Best thing i ever did!

    So had my brand new ECM HX machine since yesterday....and have already noticed the appearance of a few scratches on the drip tray. Appreciate that these are not immune to marks...but does anyone have any advice on any removal advice to remove/mitigate any future risks of surface scratches.
