    An update. Static was indeed the issue. An electrical engineer friend advised me to earth the grounds bin against the stainless steel part of my cooker. I did this before grinding, and after each batch. It worked! Thank you, Andrew

    Sorry @BlackCatCoffee, you came in before I had posted the final part: the medium roast which is the bean I have the particular issue with, and why I grind the higher roast first :)

    Grinding the higher roast beans. I ground three batches: the photos show the grounds bin after the first and third batches had been emptied. My assumption is the static builds after each use. Please don't ask why I bring batches; that isn't the issue.

    Okey doke. More photos from me grinding beans earlier today. Topmost beans are a higher roast; I am referring to the lower beans as medium roast (the higher roast have a glossy quality)
