    I think this is my first move. My kitchen is almost a building site for the moment and I don't particularly want anything more that needs to be stored or the dust wiped off. When it's all done, then I will probably get a grinder first and take it from there. Maybe a new espresso machine later...

    I'm beginning to realise all the options. I usually just use supermarket ready ground beans and put it in the cafetiere. We have a moulinex whizzy grinder for when we buy decent beans from a specialist. And in the espresso machine we use Lavazza red or gold. Probably sourcing good beans is...

    It's one reviewer's opinion. As a coffee novice I might act on their conclusions and be relatively satisfied. Knowing that there is a bit more to it now,I will probably act on the opinion of people here on this forum.

    I run a little joinery shop and the usual brew is a cafetiere. Reps tend to arrive around coffee time.

    I've always used a cafetiere, but was given a Vonshef espresso machine for Christmas which has transformed my coffee drinking. I sneak a few more coffees now as it's so easy to make a tiny cup. My budget won't be very much, especially as the kitchen has to be done first.
