    Sounds like the coffee needs to be more finely ground. It should take you about 30 seconds to pour a double shot of espresso. It it is too much quicker than that is is too coarse.

    I never had an issue with cleaning. I think the upgrade to the Rancillo Silvia V.2 wand is the tried and tested (and inexpensive) solution for the Gaggia Classic.

    You can check out the various gaskets & o-rings in the shades of coffee site (sorry couldn't add the link so google search the below) Just google: shadesofcoffee gaggia classic gaskets It will show the various options. Pay attention to the year of your classic as specifications vary.
