    Thanks so much! Could you just kindly explain to me what you mean by bypassing the switch altogether? How would I do that exactly? The switch is a latching one.

    Thanks. Yes, that's a broken piece, likely from the housing of the switch. And noted about not reposting, I only did it because the pictures didn't seem to appear on mobile.
