    So... I thought I would start trying to accurately measure how good my coffee actually is. I thought it was good but not I have measure it I'm a little off. Good news is that as I tweak grind, volume, etc it's getting better. But now I'm obsessed with getting it perfect and it's painful at times :s

    Hi coffee geek The magic number is actually 9 bar but that's out of the group head. The 15/19 bar manufacturers refer to is the pressure produced from the boiler. If you're looking go a new machine I would recommend enquiring about pressure achieved in the group head rather than the boiler...

    Hi Guys, I'm trying to improve consistency of my shots so I'm looking for a better tamper (I currently own a 58mm from cream supplies), ideally a calibrated one so I know the pressure I use is the same every shot and my budget is £50. Any recommendations?
