Yes, not withstanding the group head water flow noted above

Expobar Office EB-61 Leva (Single boiler, HX, E61) Purchased new in 2013, in storage for the last four years as replaced by smaller (wife-friendly) Lelit Elizabeth Just got it out of storage and tested it, the steam wand works and the pump works drawing water from the tank but there is minimal...

Yes, the Olympia Express Maximatic is a gorgeous looking machine - SWMBO thought so to until she saw the price :-) Had a good chat with the helpful crew at Bella Barista and have gone ahead and ordered a Elizabeth PL92T - should arrive tomorrow. Thanks everyone for your input

New (smaller) kitchen means that I need to replace my Expobar Leva HX which I have been very happy with for the last five years with something smaller. I am most drawn to a couple of Lelit options, either the Victoria PL91T @ ~ยฃ700, the Diana PL60PlusR1 @ ~ยฃ1000 or Elizabeth PL92T @ ~ยฃ1100...

@coffeebean Thanks for the tip, unfortunately this wasn't the problem - I rarely use the hot water outlet.

@D_Evans yes the machine had been on for a good hour. The steam wand works perfectly. Thanks

The problem is that when I tried to descale recently the hot water outlet is blocked - preventing me from emptying the boiler in the first place. The tap opens but nothing comes out more than the odd drip. My skills are more software than hardware :-) so I would rather get it looked at...

Hi all, I have a minor issue with my Expobar and was wondering if anyone would care to recommend a mobile technician who covers south east London. TIA Greg

Interesting. Why did you go for the Musica as opposed to the Cherub? I have neither, I'm just interested like :-)

I've just bought some NotNeautral 5oz Flat White cups from http://www.coffeehit.co.uk/notneutral-flat-white-cup-150ml-5oz/p1112. Will they fit the bill?

This replicates my own experience with MadeByKnock - never did get a reply to any of my emails but did evetually get the stuff I ordered.

Survey completed. Just a thought... Respondents from this forum are likely to provide a completely different set of answers to the average punter (one who only drinks coffee-flavoured milk beverages from Charbucks for example). The concept of of real quality coffee may be lost on such...

Can't even blame that one on iPad auto-complete. It's been like that for months :-)

Brilliant piece of kit, beautifully finished (both handle and base) with a really nice weight. My only issue with MadeByKnock is the sometimes intermittent service. Some people seem to get their orders filled in days, others (like me) weeks with no contact or replies to emails in the interim...

Week/work days I usually start with a double (sometimes with milk) followed by no more than two double espressos during the day but usually no later than 3pm. Weekends will typically be two or three doubles (again. sometimes with milk) with less worries about how late the last one might be. I...

Probably a bit of a long haul from Linlithgow but if you're up anywhere near Dunkeld, Big Tree Coffee at The Hermitage (a National Trust for Scotland property). The Hermitage is a delightful couple of hours (at most) walk and Big Tree Cafe is a surprisingly good van in the car park servining...

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll have hours of fun together :-) I've got a couple of pictures of both machines in the same location in the kitchen which might help others trying to compare on size and looks (when I get round to posting them). The expo is taller, narrower but definitely better...

I've had both Cherub and Expobar in the same kitchen within a short space of time. The cherub was all stainless steel with the rounded drip tray so perhaps may have looked less intrusive than a stock cherub with black sides and square fronted drop tray. If I'm completely honest, although the...
