Merry Christmas everyone, My smart grinder has stopped working this morning, when I run it makes a high pitched spinning sound (similar to when there are no beans in it). I've taken the top and bottom burrs out, and cleaned the impeller below. Couldn't see an obvious blockage. Beans are...

Hey, potentially interested in this. Also in Sheffield so collection is no problem. Have you ever opened the boiler? Has it always been used in Sheffield?

Very tidy. Thinking of getting some similar looking shelves actually. Are those brackets with some kind of reclaimed scaffold board on?

Boiler was out but it's further complicated by the fact that one of the bolts is rounded so can't remove it from the grouphead. Haven't tried too hard yet, but given that the boiler/grouphead wasn't leaking, I didn't want to risk shearing off the head but being unable to remove the rest of the...

What's the best way to get a stuck steam connector off from the top of the boiler? Mine is leaking slightly but haven't been able to get it out.

Thanks for the help everyone. I replaced the orange silicon hose, sorted out the boiler (using the sandpaper method), replaced the seals and cleaned the solenoid. All working well. In fact, I enjoyed taking it apart so much that I've bought a broken Gaggia Classic to fix up too!

This is what it looks inside (note to self, never attempt to loosen corroded bolts immediately after finishing a night shift - guaranteed to slice your finger open on something pointy) Reckon it's worth cleaning up or is the scale terminal?

Based in Sheffield so water isn't too hard. I bought it second hand. It's at least 10 years old (as there's a sticker inside dated 2010 saying it was serviced) but was supposedly descaled regularly. With regards to the brewhead/boiler leak, is it a case of taking out of those M6 bolts and...

Hi all, Looking for some advice on how to fix my Gaggia Baby Class. It's been leaking around the grouphead recently and the flow through it has been quite poor, and after opening it up I've noticed that water leaks out from the braided hose that connects the boiler to the steam valve. A very...
