    It was the Dark Star On the other hand in France last weekend I had some Affligem Noel Christmas Ale. Pure nectar! Any idea where I can get that in the UK?

    I love coffee and I love beer, so for Christmas Eve I treated myself to a coffee flavoured beer............... Bloody Awful! Merry Christmas!

    Eureka = Great Grinder

    Is it? I have one and did not think it was

    I tend to dose to the embossed rim and then the tamp takes it just below. I never weigh just measure by eye. PF fits fine with that. Over-dose and it all gets messy and the PF sometimes will not fit at all. Definitely err on under rather than over dosing with this machine. I find I can grind...

    Just a single screw holding it in place

    A couple of us early owners had a replacement brass fitting under the shower screeen to cure a leak to the edge of the shower screen. Also check the shower screen is tightened! Also the advice to fill the basket less with coffee is sound. Should be able to tamp as normal if the dose is correct...

    +1 same situation and sentiment here. Also fits under kitchen cabinets unlike many others. Great little grinder

    Hi Dan, I tend to do that anyway and mine did stop squeaking after a short while of use. I think it is because I had not used it for a couple of months or more!

    Have not used mine for a while (oh the shame) but fired it up yesterday and it squeaks as well! Still makes great espresso though

    I grind before each cup, which is not often enough at the moment

    I use both methods depending on my mood but usually I use a recepticle and I do not break up clumps though I do a quick tamp with the basket two thirds full and then a proper tamp when full

    Somewhere on here is my review of the Mignon which is a great machine which will take you through my dialling in experience. As I recall wind it as fine as it goes until it will not actually grind then back it off until it will actually grind something. i.e grind as fine as you can. Do not worry...

    I can highly recommend the Piedmonte area of Italy. Great wine, food and espresso! My epiphany so far was realising I had a much better machine than I realised but my grinder was rubbish as are/were supermarket beans. New grinder (Eureka Mignon), better beans = great espresso from a 14 year old...

    I have the same thing with mine and the water trickling outside the shower screen. Maybe it is a 'feature'?

    If you can stretch to it consider the Eureka Mignon. Look on Bella Barista site

    After several weeks without using the machine at all (do not panic still been getting my espresso fix in Italy and with my old set up at work) I had a play again today. The espresso is still amazing even with old beans but my milk foaming is still a disaster. I am going to have to follow Bill's...

    Hi Bill. I will hopefully get some time to play around with the milk again next weekend.
