    Nope, afraid it comes with single and double pressurised baskets (with the single hole in the bottom and the plastic insert in the bottom of the portafilter). Again, I get that they are used differently and that the pressurised ones are more forgiving of bad coffee, bad grinding, bad tamping...

    So, I get that pressurised baskets can cover up bad grinding, tamping, etc and make just-about-acceptable coffee from pre-ground or badly ground coffee. They're a crutch to help you make mediocre coffee. But what if I use them with properly ground fresh coffee? What difference would I notice...

    Thanks Glenn. If anyone else needs it, Espresso Underground have the spare part, just under £30 inc VAT & delivery, so it could have been a lot worse. Stuck using a blade grinder for a couple of days, which is not so great...

    I've seen various tips on this and other forums suggesting that burr grinders can be cleaned with (quick cook) rice. All I can say is: avoid it with the Iberital MC2. I tried, it jammed, and the teeth were stripped off part of the gear under the lower burr.
