    thread resurrection attempt. I'm in exactly this situation - very succinctly summarised by @ShaunChris btw - & was wondering if anyone can shed more light on the matter? am basically after tips for the dark art of temp surfing, so any suggestions gratefully received.

    Thanks Wilse, and good to know about the steaming as I'll be mostly making milk-based drinks. Enjoyed that alliteration. I'm also looking at the Leva & I think would be happy with either. Great video by the way - guy really knows his stuff. I'm off to stalk him.

    I'm hoping this sounds like a sensible combination. About to embark on a major coffee upgrade, and looking at a budget of around £1k to £1.5k. I'm learning a lot pretty fast, but I'd really appreciate some advice along the way. Cheers.

    Newly signed up - really great forum, so much awesome geek knowledge. I'm about to fully upgrade from stovetop/Aeropress to something along the lines of a used SJ & maybe a Rocket Premium Plus/Expobar Leva, but am learning new things all the time so who knows. Thanks for having me guys.
