Yes, came in to post more or less the same ! Bought some fresh beans from Monmouth today, set the top burr back to 6, and pulled a perfect espresso straight away. Must be a reason why the lavazza beans were fine in my Gaggia, but I'm happy now either way. There seem to be several threads...

Anyone have a recommendation for an espresso distributor for Sage BT ? I'm guessing about 53mm is the optimal size, but can only find 58mm & 51mm. Not looking to spend any more than about ยฃ20 either, just want to give one a try and see if it makes life easier. Thanks

Yes, stick with it. Few days / weeks of tweaking your dose amount & grind settings, with fresh beans as suggested, and you'll get some consistency I'm sure. Just need to eliminate one thing at a time until you get it right. Particularly if like me, you're happy to stick to the same type of...

I didn't read the whole thing tbf, but the first few pages where it details the grinder settings made no mention of it. Perhaps it's further in. I also had fun & games finding the batch code, so I could claim the barista kit redemption they are offering at the moment. It's stamped in very...

I got a Barista Touch last week, and have had the same issue. Using Lavazza supermarket beans, which were fine when used with my previous set up of a Sage Dose Control Pro & Gaggia Classic, so I'm not convinced that the beans alone are the cause. Reading another post on here, I decided...

When you do the PID mod for Gaggia Classic, is it worth getting one that does pre-infusion ? Or are you just as well ordering one from the fella who sells them on here without pre-infusion ?

Does the OPV mod make any difference on steaming milk, or is it just applicable to the shot ? Most posts I've seen on it just talk about how much better the shot is, but I'd be interested to know if it helps for steaming too. This will probably be my next task.

Hello I have had my Gaggia Classic for just over 2 years. Hasn't really had as much use as I'd have liked, and not been used for the last 6 months. Stopped using it as my Krups grinder was a pain to use, and I'd also shredded the screw which held the shower screen in place, so I couldn't...
