Oh it gets worse... Had to resort to violence to get this nut off...... Unfortunately in this case the glass became collateral damage Just ordered what I hope is a replacement

So..... Apparently, unless you buy 10M of pipe for ยฃ25 you will have to pay in the vicinity of ยฃ10 per meter posted..... (From online vendors) Sounds ridiculous to me

Is right, nice1. I am having some difficulty removing all the pipework from the boiler and may end up replacing a lot of it. Especially the 8mm pipes, they seem to twist quite easily

Not got a lot done today. But I am pleased that the element is in better condition than I first thought it would be. The boiler on the other hand.....

It took a right beating but im finally getting somewhere.... (I suppose). 2 lump hammer's, 1 hacksaw, an impact driver and a broken pair of pliers later and this is what I have to show for it.... Not sure how much of this is salvageable but we will see. I will keep you all updated

I was wondering if I lower the sensor in the main tank ( as I don't need 4 litres of water) would it affect the stability of the hx water? I may need some knowledge with this rebuild (if I decide to see it through)

It has received a relatively poor paint job to cover up some rust Which has probably just made things worse.... I think that they may have made a little bit of mess when filling it with water once or twice One Of The Feet Fell off And One Had To be Cut Off And here is what is left of the...

Managed to get this for free..... Having next to zero as a budget I happily accepted it. It would appear that it works, but it is in such a bad way structurally that I am going to have to rebuild the carcass/chassis. Any suggestions as to whether this is even worth the effort? (Would rather not...

Thank you very much for such an informative response. (I may very well take you up on your offer of knowledge). I am currently using a very worn out gaggia evolution atm. I have replaced the grouphead gasket as well as the boiler valve and descaled the boiler.... It was really bad. But I dont...

Not too sure tbh. Had a feel of the top burr and it didn't feel like it was going to slice me or anything. They look like they have some bite though. I dont know how to upload pictures on here to show them

Wicked nice1. I will have a look through the forum. Without knowing key words it's a little difficult to find the information I need. Thank you very much

Are the cheap (ยฃ20ish) burrs worh getting? Or should I just pay for an original set? When you say pully... Like a small bearing puller? I managed to get it for ยฃ75 posted Is anybody selling 3d printed stuff on here? I saw some online but thought they were rather expensive. Thanks for all the...

Sweet.. if the start of the serial number is the year of manufacture (which I read somewhere) then it's a 2013 timed SJ. Got it cheap enough so was probably expecting worse tbh haha

Nice1. Took the bottom off and got the multimeter on it. Loose wire going into the connector block.... It's alive. Googled some threads on the forum and backed the top burr off and it stopped making that noise.. that's as far as I have gotton so far. Looks like it has taken a beating though as...

Okay.... So, it turned up this morning and the sound is the least of my problems for now. Plugged it in... And nothing. No light... Nothing. Going to be a fun weekend I think
